He has'nt got that type of guts, now don't be insulting the donkey. I think it is a lovely story and reminds us that animals even helped us win a war and people kill them when they were no longer needed.

i watched the documentary about war horses and how brave those animals were.....they said at the end of the war there was i think 60.000 horses that came home and 20 thousand were killed and used for meat for the french and german prisoners when they came home..... such a sad ending for those courageous horses....
