inverclydenow.com/news/local/6574-belville-street-flats-may-be-blown-upThese filing cabinets for humans should never have been built, the Labour council was warned against them but the persisted because they were cheap and the builders/developers offered 'incentives'. As someone who has the misfortune to visit them almost every day, I say, "Good riddance". However, many but NOT all tenants are of the, 'problem' variety, where will they be sent? ? I'm not expert but isn't blowing them up a tad risky given that they are built on the edge of a cliff and other buildings? They are built of a kind of, 'lego' that surely can be easily dismantled without dangerous explosions.

I thought the reason they tore down the other Belville Street high flats piece by piece was due to the location they couldn't bring them down by blowning them up due to the road and other flats being so close ? Good riddance anyway a total eyesore that blots the landscape in the East End of Greenock

the only thing those flats had going for them was the view if you looked out to the river.
