www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk/news/portglasgow/articles/2013/04/04/452521-fury-over-damage-at-beauty-spot/Without wishing to start the whole, 'bad tinkers' debate, I am struck by the fact that our dear, 'Newspaper' refers to the vandalism as mere, "claims". Any newspaper worth its salt would be up there taking a look at the site and taking pictures so we can all judge for ourselves. It's a public park so there would be no access problems and they could take their ambliopic photographer with them to take some lopsided, badly coloured pictures. Let me see, what do you call this kind of thing..um ah...yes, JOURNALISM!!!!!

It just maybe that half the country will be living in Caravans and travelling and not because they want to but because they don't have a option, those other travelers do and I for one object to them having free space that we pay for.

Y'see, I don't have a problem with them wanting to lead the life of the wandering traveller. That's fine and dandy as long as they don't become parasitical. You all pay your taxes to keep Inverclyde's parks in good order (or what passes for good order with the council), it is simply unacceptable for anyone, travellers or tram-drivers to arrive unannounced and set up a filthy campsite with no sanitation and then leave again having effectively destroyed the place.
The plain fact is, they cannot exist without us. Their days of going around farms fixing ploughs and breeding horses is gone so they turn to us. Sure, we'll educate their children, tend their sick and pull their teeth. We'll provide them with roads and street lighting and emergency services. Well let them watch the BBC...all of these things but..........................they HAVE to pay for it and that payment should not be in the form of shoddy driveways and scamming old people into paying for crap and unnecessary roof repairs. We'd like to hang on to our metalwork whether ornamental or functional.
I am always astounded at all the weird and wonderful 'traditions' they trot out to cover any eventuality. In that sense they are rather like the muslims who always pull something out of their, 'holy' book to suit the occasion and justify some bad behaviour.
