I wish that families that have been affected by knives, guns, etc would go around schools to let young ones see how a few minutes of rage can devastate whole families.Young people today live with so much fantasy be it TV or PC games that they don't even think of cause and effect. Ask all those families if it is such a great place.

Mmmm....I wonder if Sheriff Ward's views are being distorted by the fact he sits on the bench, deals with disposals that involve weapons and comes to the conclusion that the carrying of weapons is "endemic". This suggests that everyone in Greenock is going around tooled up since he tagged the whole town with the title. Don't know about any of you but I have never gone out tooled up in my life. Thje only time I have had to deal with a weapon was when someone pulled an open razor on me in a lift in Glasgow, buty that is an entirely different story. This is perhaps publicity looking for a headline - is there a spare seat coming up in the high court soon?
Funny how the good Sheriff never commented on the effects of poverty that sometimes drive people into offending behaviour. He must see this on a more regular basis that weapons but yet he remains silent on the issues. Right enough it canny be easy earning a measly £100K+ for being a sheriff....

I was forever having knives and needles brandished at me but then co-workers can be very cruel.
