That man needs to shut his mouth, he knows nothing about the carer, loneliness, poverty, depression etc, what would this man know about lack of sleep and being overworked. the carer, nurse, shopper, laundry worker, cleaner, etc and all for a miserable allowance. I remember the times when friends would ask me out and I would say I was needed at home, truth, I could not afford a hair do and I had no decent clothes or shoes, Oh! the carer gave their life and when the caring was done, they had to start and find out who they were, and if applying for a carer job in a home, forget it as you will never have enough experience................to the junk yard we go.

Day in, day out I saw with my own eyes who lamentable their so-called support of carers and their charges is. McIlwee is a toss-pot who should go out and ask some of their, 'customers' how they feel. I bet that meeting is full of, 'nodding Johnnies' and toads like old Nell who will clap their hands just because the Councillor called them by their first name.
Liebour in Inverclyde have had more than a generation to get this right and Godman, Cairns and BIGOT have had AMPLE opportunity to deal with the matter at a parliamentary level and as to McNeil..............shessh!
They are all BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember getting a call from the care's shop in Cathcart Square telling me that they could get me some respite for 2 hours a week, imagine that , the person coming would have been paid more for that 2 hours than a carer gets all week. That is rubbing salt into a wound, I shall not tell you my reply as it may offend.
The next run in was when I noticed that they had a poster up in the doctors office informing carers that they can apply for a free swim card. I phoned and was asked for my postcode, I asked why and was informed that I needed to be living in a deprived area, to which I said " are you telling me that your are making distinction between carers, when we all get the same allowance " well horror upon horror I informed them that I would be seeing a lawyer about this as I felt discriminated against.
The next was they phoned me about 15 minutes after our phone call to inform me that, I could have the card and use it that day and return it the next, by this time the air was nearly blue when I asked who came up with this great idea, guess ?, the council. I asked how can this possibly help carers and could they count as, it would cost £3.20 the one day and the same the next day to return it, a total cost of £6.40 and as a swim was £ 1 .90 off peak and bus fare is £3.20 total cost £ 5.10 a saving of £1.30 if you do not use the card. Now you wonder how our council is a mess, look no further.

I would close that so-called Carers Centre tomorrow. It's run by a bunch of silly auld wifies with too much time on their hands who share a brain cell.
All carers want is to be properly recognised for there efforts and to receive help when needed. They don't need condescended to by wee daft wifies, overpaid social workers and scum council officers.
I actually laughed out loud when I was told about the, 'quiet room' in the carers centre which had a couch and dim lighting!!!!! How helpful when what you really need is someone to help you deal with day to day caring.
Sorry is this offends (well I'm not really) but social workers are overpaid parasites who should be sent to hell.

Most social workers I've ever come across have been complete fannies - heid so far up their ain arse, they're almost choking

Basically, they're only there to save the council from trouble. Most of them couldn't give a tinker's shit about the people they call, 'clients'.
Social Work is NOT an honourable profession.
