Recently the Telegraph has reported (with much excitement) about local jobs created by big companies. A couple regarding Tesco Port Glasgow and also the Pets at Home store in Greenock.
Now being unemployed and, for the moment, unable to get anything I.T related (my usual thing), I thought I might apply for one of these opportunities to put some bread on the table and relieve the boredom.
Can anyone tell me where these jobs were, are advertised? There is no mention of them on the Tesco website. And regarding the Pet Store, I've only seen 1 part time position advertised.
Maybe I'm just too slow!

It all sounds like a PR exercise and if they do take people on, they'll be part time, minimum wage. And, what happened to that wonderful B&Q we were meant to have at the Port? ??

Yer man doon at Cardwell Nurseries has done his best to stop that going ahead, when they first mentioned B&Q years ago that nutcase forced all his staff to sign a petition against it, "sign it or f*ck off and find a new job" so Im told

I notice Gallagher (Cardwell) didn't open his trap about Tesco opening in Port Glasgow. Could that be due to the fact that Tesco owns Dobbies and Cardwell is apparently connected to them. As far as I am concerned he and his wife are miserable, girning creatures who should be ignored. We buy our plants elsewhere.
